There are three ways of
transporting patients’ specimens to the laboratory.
- It can be done by a pneumatic tube system if your hospital has it.
- By the laboratory technician when they come to your unit to draw blood on the patients.
- By the nurse, CNA, or you taking the specimen to the lab.
